SANParks is seeking motivated interns to join our team and contribute to our mission of preserving South Africa's biodiversity. Interns will gain practical experience in various departments, including conservation, research, environmental education, visitor services, and administration.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in field research and data collection related to wildlife and ecosystems.
  • Support conservation projects and initiatives aimed at habitat restoration and species protection.
  • Participate in environmental education programs and community outreach activities.
  • Help with visitor services, including guiding tours and providing information to park visitors.
  • Contribute to administrative tasks and project management within assigned departments.
  • Collaborate with staff and other interns to develop and implement initiatives that promote sustainability and conservation.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Wildlife Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Strong passion for nature conservation and sustainable practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to various tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of South African flora and fauna is an advantage.
