Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is offering Work Integrated Learning Internships to motivated and passionate individuals eager to gain practical experience in wildlife conservation, environmental management, and eco-tourism. This internship program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, providing interns with valuable insights into the operations of a leading conservation organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in various conservation projects, including wildlife monitoring, habitat restoration, and community outreach programs.
  • Support the research team in data collection, analysis, and reporting on wildlife populations and ecosystems.
  • Participate in educational programs and workshops to promote awareness of conservation issues.
  • Collaborate with staff in eco-tourism initiatives to enhance visitor experiences and promote sustainability.
  • Help maintain records and documentation related to project activities and outcomes.
  • Engage with local communities to foster support for conservation efforts.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree/diploma in Environmental Science, Wildlife Management, Conservation Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong passion for wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in outdoor environments and adapt to various weather conditions.
  • Previous volunteer or internship experience in a related field is an advantage.
